Some time ago I opened my Facebook page to find this meme. Now, I've noticed this not-so-subtle social engineering garbage being pumped into my Facebook feed for months now, but this today was specifically egregious to me.
Why is it that we DESERVE everything we can possibly put into a sentence today? We DESERVE phone service and cable TV. We DESERVE an education and the latest hairstyle. We DESERVE equal access to healthcare. Interesting. Upon what is the word 'equality' based in this sentence? I mean, what kind of healthcare access is equal?
I promise you I don't want access to healthcare as provided by a roadside doctor in Timbuktu or Napal.
But isn't that the trick here? We live in 'Merica. Here, we DESERVE to have equal access to anything we can put in a sentence and it will be good and right and justifiable in just the right terms by just the right people. Hmmm. Isn't the definition of 'equitable' different for Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama than for much of the 'Merican people right now who are finding that Universal Healthcare wasn't the bastion of equity it was sold to be?
Stop all this equity crap. Just STOP IT. People were not born 'equal', they will not die 'equal' excepting in terms of Christ. Galations 3:28 says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." That is as 'equal' as you will get to another person here on earth.
Equality is a term brought about by humans - Socialists and Communists - to quash the concept of individuality - for if we are all as one in HUMANkind, we must all be given the same things to reach that level of equality. Man's equality does not equate to Christ's equality.
Think on this: In Romans 3:22-24 Paul explains that there is no difference in those who come to Christ - "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus".
So, if MAN can assure himself that he is equal to another man and governments take up the mantle of forcing 'equality' among men who's equality becomes the standard? In Christ, we are all equal - we are all sinners who fall short of Christ but believe in redemption THROUGH grace after accepting Him as our savior and the son of God. There is free will in this. We are given the CHOICE to take up this charge.
If we are all to be equal by man's standards, then free will must go because some will choose Christ and some will not. Therefore, we must rip Christ out the fabric of humanity to make all humans equal. Look at Russia. Look at China. Look at any other Communist/Socialist country. The first thing that has to be removed is religion because there can't be 'choice' as choice for Christ will provide a different life for one man compared to his neighbor and numbers of choices will make men different from one another in many different ways.

Equality is a dangerous thing when introduced into the hands of man. Do not be fooled. The only way men are equal is through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Period.
